(5/5) Our favorite brunch spot in Trondheim. Bread, pastries, and beverages are all outstanding. Their pastries feature seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and do they know how to highlight those ingredients. Their coffee is super nice, during our most recent visit, the coffee I had made me hear colors, probs my fault because I asked for double-shot. The service is excellent, gave us free cookie because they kinda forgot our tea.

(5/5) This bakery located within the library is just stellar. Look no further if you’re up for the finest sourdough bread. The focaccia sandwiches are so crunchy and chewy at the same time.The staff is so friendly and cheerful it’s a joy to watch them perform their art. Highly, *highly* recommended!

(5/5) So the reason for the lack of reviews is because it’s part of the city’s Library and it’s also so busy with locals who just don’t want to share this gem of a place. Best baked goods in the city - too bad it’s not open on Sundays.

(5/5) Delightful focaccia with mushroom/nut pâté and local cheese. Various sweet pastries nicely done. Tea was a bit strange. Their Earl Grey doesn’t taste like it should at all! Busy place with bread being made on site and in sight of customers, much to our entertainment.

The Scandinavian design, with its clean lines, ample natural lighting, and warm wooden accents, makes this a great place to settle in and get some work done. It’s the kind of café where you can sit for hours, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The downside? There aren’t many compelling food options beyond the bread itself, which makes it less of a go-to destination for a full meal.If you’re looking for a solid workspace with good coffee and a beautiful setting, ISAK Bakeri is worth a visit. But if you’re after a satisfying lunch, you might leave disappointed. My recommendation? Stop by to grab a loaf of their sourdough to-go—it’s well worth it.

(5/5) Was looking for a nice bakery in Trondheim and ISAK exceeded that expectation. Originally got a rhubarb pastry and loaf of bread but went back for a blackcurrant pastry as the first was so good.We didn’t have any hot drinks but I loved the fact they also did a smoked Earl Grey tea, truly inspiring.Had some of the bread for lunch and it was very tasty.

(5/5) Very happy that I walked in at ISAK Bakeri and thankfull for the hard and happy work of the bakers. Enjoyed the focaccia, buns and the sweet one with rubarb and vanillacreme. Checked the website if there were would be any workshop options to learn myself a bit more about this craftmanship, I did not find any so far. But if there are any options, I would be eager to learn about them.

(5/5) Die Bäckerei Isak überzeugte mich mit saftigen und geschmacklich sehr leckeren Sauerteigbroten. Die Pistazienschnecke war ebenfalls total gut. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich und gab mir trotz langer Warteschlange geduldig Auskunft zu den verschiedenen Broten. Auch das Ambiente mit seiner skandinavisch modernen Einrichtung war hell und einladend. Für mich eine der besten Bäckereien Norwegens.

(5/5) Die Handwerksbäckerei Isak ist ein wirkliches Juwel in Trondheim - wir hatten das Glück, uns hier vor unserer zweiwöchigen Camping-Tour (Trondheim - Lofoten) mit hervorragendem Sauerteig-Brot ausstatten zu können. Hier entsteht richtiges Brot in Handarbeit - langzeitgeführte Sauerteig-Brote mit unterschiedlichsten hochwertigen Getreidesorten (teilweise auch Urgetreide) - natürlich alles in BIO. Das Brot ist nicht nur richtig saftig, sondern auch geschmackvoll und hält sich mind. eine Woche (haben selbst nach acht Tagen die letzte Scheibe Brot gegessen). Die Zimt-, Kardamom-Knoten haben uns beim ersten Bissen verzaubert - sind ein absoluter Hammer - flaumig, weich, nicht zu süß und Zimt und Kardamom begegnen sich im idealen Verhältnis.Nach unserer Rückkehr führte uns der erste Weg in Trondheim wieder in die Handwerksbäckerei, um uns mit einer mit Hummus und Feta gefüllten Sauerteig-Focaccia und einem Vanille-Johannisbeer-Knoten zu stärken. Auch der Kaffee ist super! Das Service-Team ist sehr aufmerksam und gut geschult. Der Chef und Bäckermeister war beide Male vor Ort anzutreffen und hat alle unsere Fragen umfänglich beantwortet - man kann ihm je nach Tageszeit auch beim Backen zusehen. Die Einrichtung ist unglaublich gemütlich und liebevoll ausgesucht, Trockenblumen und Eingelegtes dienen als Zierde.Ein absolutes Muss bei jedem Trondheim Besuch!

(5/5) Jeg kjøpte et nydelig nøtte- og frukt surdeigsbrød til 85 kr. Prisen er ikke hverdagskost. Brødet var saftig og smaksrikt uten å være for surt. Kafeen har gamle maleri på veggene og en koselig stemning.

Gleich beim Betreten merkt man, dass hier viel Wert auf regionale Qualität und handwerkliches Können gelegt wird – ein riesiges Plus für mich, da ich handgemachte, regionale Produkte sehr schätze.Die Auswahl an frisch gebackenen Broten ist beeindruckend, und das Highlight: Sie werden aus Urgetreide von Gullimunn gebacken. Der Geschmack ist einfach anders – kräftig, voll und absolut authentisch. Das ist kein 08/15-Brot, sondern mit Liebe und Tradition gebacken.Natürlich darf ein guter Kaffee nicht fehlen, und ISAK hat mich hier auch nicht enttäuscht. Der Kaffee ist stark, aromatisch und einfach perfekt für einen entspannten Moment. Die Baristas verstehen ihr Handwerk und sorgen für die ideale Kaffeepause. Für Tee-Liebhaber gibt’s übrigens eine außergewöhnliche Auswahl an Tees, kuratiert vom Gravraak Tea-Atelier – und das ist nicht irgendein Tee, sondern hochwertig gemischt und perfekt auf den nordischen Geschmack abgestimmt.Ein weiteres Highlight: Die Bäckerei ist Teil des Kulturquartals, direkt neben dem Trondheim Folkebibliotek. Es fühlt sich fast so an, als ob man Teil des pulsierenden Lebens der Stadt wird, während man drinnen entspannt und dem Trubel draußen entkommt. Die Inneneinrichtung ist gemütlich und einladend, ideal für alle, die ein bisschen Ruhe suchen.Kurz gesagt: ISAK Bakeri ist ein absolutes Muss für jeden, der gutes Brot und Kaffee schätzt und gleichzeitig ein bisschen norwegische Kultur erleben möchte. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

(5/5) De toutes les boulangeries de Trondheim, ISAK est vraiment la meilleure ! Les viennoiseries que j’ai testé étaient toutes tellement délicieuses et généreuses. Pour parfaire le tout, le boulanger et le personnel sont très sociables et souriants !
